Cracked or Leaking Sewer Lines

As sewer lines age, they can begin to slowly degrade and fall apart. When they do, they can leak raw sewage, waste, and wastewater out into your property. When enough of this accumulates, it forms puddles of raw sewage that can sometimes be seen in grass or in planters. While it may make any vegetation grow quickly, it’s also a serious health hazard and something that needs to be rectified right away. At Roth Heating & Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical, we use specialized sewer inspection cameras to find the source of your sewage leak and even offer trenchless repairs that require minimal digging in order to solve the issue completely.

Scale Removal & Sewer Cleaning

Over time, sewer lines will eventually accumulate a huge amount of scale, gunk, and other refuse that sticks to the walls of your line. This is a totally normal and natural issue that any line will deal with, but unfortunately it can be an issue that ultimately leads to your line falling apart if it isn’t taken care of. We advise having your sewer line cleaned at least once every two to three years to make sure it remains clean, runs smoothly, and that any accumulation is quickly dealt with and washed away.

Scale removal is done using a specialized tool known as a hydro jetting tool. Essentially, this is a specialized nozzle attached to the end of a long hose on a high-power pressure washer. The tool has a bunch of water jets on it: one main jet at the front and then a collection of smaller jets located around the side. The main jet in front obliterates blockages from your line like tree roots, built up sewage and food, and just about anything else. The jets along the sides of the tool blast the scale off the walls of your plumbing line, leaving them smooth and clean. When this service is done, your sewer line should be smooth, clear, and free from obstructions that may cause clogs to build and form.
