‘Tis the season to stand in long lines at the store and delight one’s senses with traditional seasonal meals. It’s also the time of year when residents in the Portland Metro area open up their wallets and give. Roth Heating and Cooling is participating in the season’s spirit of giving by collecting blankets to donate.
We’re holding a drive throughout the region so our neighbors can donate blankets to those in need. New and gently-used blankets will be accepted. Blankets can be donated by dropping them by our local office, located at 6990 S. Anderson Road in Canby or sending them with a technician during a service call. No matter how you get the blankets to Roth Heating and Cooling, we’re offering all customers who donate blankets a $10 credit on their account as a way of saying thank you for investing in the community during the holiday season.
All donations will go to the Portland Rescue Mission, providing shelter, food and more to the area’s homeless, addicted and unemployed. Your donation will help the Mission deliver a tangible gift to local residents in need, and assist their overall goal to aid the homeless on their journey to finding a permanent home; deal with problems that lead to homelessness (such as mental illness, criminal activity and violence); respond to immediate needs like isolation, hygiene care, food and shelter; and offer relationship, legal and financial support, as well as building life and job skills.
